*Sigh*
So I finally made it home after 10 hours of driving while little 'sis slept. Hilton Head Island was nice, but the weather was crap the entire time. Lauren and I took our mom with us to Hilton Head, and it was interesting. Long story- here's the short version- mom has Parkinson's Disease and can't really do much for herself anymore, and we weren't used to having to take care of someone like that- so it ended up being pretty stressful all around. It was good to see her though, and I know she was happy to see us.
My list of things I need to buy keeps getting longer every day. I'm not talking about little things like toothpaste and TP, but big things. Here is my current list:
1. New luggage to replace the stuff I borrowed from someone. I don't know how it happened, but there is a small tear on the back of one of the suitcases. All I did with it was put it in the car, and on a luggage cart, and on top of a dresser, but still, I need to replace it for them.
2. A new monitor. View previous post for that fiasco. After I wrote that, the monitor went out yet again. I pronounced it dead.
3. A new dishwasher. Mine hasn't worked in like, 3 years, but now that I'm cooking so much more instead of just getting carry out or something, I need to get the dishwasher. Mine is beyond repair.
In spite of my long list of things I need, I bought a Coach purse while I was out of town. I always said I would buy a Kate Spade when I graduated from college and got my new job, but I haven't found any of hers that I like lately. I would have bought a Coach earlier, but I could never scrounge up enough money. And while I know that it is just a purse, when I bought it I felt a sense of accomplishment- like it's the end of my college journey or whatever. I know that sounds idiotic, but it felt good, so I don't care what it cost!
