No word yet...
No word from the audition. I shipped an audition tape today and just will leave it at that. I have no regrets :) I would never of had the courage to go to a casting call 1 year ago. For that I am very thankful.
Jan 24 was my 1 year Atkinsversiary :) 130 pounds down, at least 100 more to go!
The Biggest Loser audition
I just got back from Nashville where I went to The Biggest Loser audition. My friend Jen and her sister Celeste were such sweethearts and went with me to stand in the POURING rain for hours on end. We got there at noon and auditions were supposed to start at 4. I think they ended up starting them early, around 2pm or so. I think there were probably a total of 1000 people there by the end of it. We were around number 360 in line. I believe it was about 6pm by the time we got into the bar where the casting was taking place. They took us in groups of 12, and the casting director asked our name, age, weight, what we want to weigh, what we do as a job, and what we would do when we lost the weight. Everyone in our group was extremely friendly. I think that it went well, but I haven't heard back anything yet regarding a callback so I'm not going to hold my breath. I am going to try to get a tape put together and submitted before the Jan 31 deadline though because I really would love to be on the show! Here are some pictures from the call:
I tried to get a good shot of the line, but it wrapped around the block, so I couldn't really capture the crowds.

This is Celeste, Me, and Jen standing in the rain. I heart them very much!

Biggest Loser Audition on Sunday
I'm so excited! I am going to try to wear this t-shirt:

Is that stupid? I'm hoping the orange will make me stand out, and since my degree is in advertising, I thought it was memorable. And of course, since it's a tv show and advertising is how they make money, I thought that was funny too. Of course, the mail needs to get it here by the end of this week.
130 pounds gone

130 pounds of progress :D
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
I hope that your holidays were great. The holidays always seem to stress me out majorly (but then again,
everything stresses me out majorly). I got to spend time with David and his family, which is always enjoyable for me. My dad came to visit for a week, and it turned out to be a nice visit. I think after the visit he really has a better sense of who I am and what I want to do with my life. I spent time with my sister, who seemed to want to be anywhere but with my dad and I. I went to see my mom and I took her some cordial cherries from Old Kentucky Chocolates, and a robe that I hope she can use in the nursing home.
I'm usually not one for new years resolutions because they always seem to set you up for failure, but this year I have a few that I feel strongly that I won't fail at:
- Continue losing weight on Atkins induction
- Start the UK MBA program
- Take life day-by-day and focus only on the things that I can change during that time, and not letting the other things stress me out
- Tell the people around me more how much they mean to me
My dad and I

While my dad was in town for Christmas I had my sister take a picture of he and I. The last time I was in a picture with him I was about 10, so I thought I'd share. And no, he isn't drunk- his eyes were half shut. I think it's an awful picture of me, but I like it because he's in it :)
