Beautiful Kentucky!

So, people think that Kentucky is ass-backwards and redneck. I adamantly disagree!!! Look at how beautiful the state is! Pictures from opening day at Keeneland:

Airports

Airports are interesting places to people watch. I had a 2.5 hour layover in Cincinnati, which is pretty ridiculous considering it would have only taken 1 hour to drive home, but that's not the point. Here are some observations:

- I watched a girl on her cell phone crying because her boyfriend was dumping her, apparently because she didn't pick up her cell phone when he called earlier. Her argument was that it didn't ring and went to voicemail, which from experience, I know this can be a completely valid argument.
- A couple searching for a stamp in Borders, after they purchased an overpriced note card from the same store. They were informed that no store in the airport sells stamps, although they do have a mail drop box. I gave them a stamp, and they thanked me with kind words and $0.50, which I tried to not accept.
- I learned that I cannot resist food at the airport. For some reason, overpriced Starbucks and McDonald's breakfast make me feel like a distinguished traveler. And the Boston airport had many a Dunkin Donuts. Bad for me, especially when my flight was delayed.
- No one ever pays attention to the flight attendants during their safety demonstration. I felt like I really should act interested, even though I've seen it umpteen times, but my People Magazine with it's report on extraodinarily thin celebrities was much more interesting.
