Oh humanity

So I'm driving down the dark, rainy roads in Lexington trying to get home from school to study for a final exam tomorrow. I am on my cell phone bitching about my exam when I get to a 3-way stop that most people roll through. There is a car stopped in the middle of the intersection, halfway through their turn, facing a slight uphill. I'm still a few cars away from the stop sign and complain to myself about the person in the middle of the road, thinking it would lead me to have even less time studying.

THEN all of a sudden, the person gets out of their car, and attempts to push their car up the hill to the side of the road.

The car starts rolling backwards.

I think to myself "get back in the car and pull your emergency break! you're too weak to push that car uphill by yourself!"

Rain pouring down, all cars (like me) just watching this sceneario, which lasted all of 5 seconds before 1 man gets out of his truck and pushes the car from behind. The poor man who had been trying to push it himself didn't realize that he got extra help, and the car slowly but surely started moving in the right direction. I thought "oh my gosh, that's what life is about- helping other people out!"

THEN as I made my turn, I saw yet ANOTHER kind person run to the car in need to help the other 2 men get it safely to the side of the road.

That is what humanKIND is all about.
