About the Artist

I’ve always been drawn to creativity. Growing up as the youngest of four in a lively household, I found calm in art—some of my earliest memories are of coloring until I fell asleep, crayon still clutched in my hand.

As I grew older, I realized I experienced the world differently. While school could be challenging, art never felt like work. It gave me focus, confidence, and a way to understand myself. Choosing a creative path in college felt natural. I began in graphic design but quickly missed working with my hands. A beginning painting class changed everything, and I went on to earn my BA from the University of Colorado Boulder, discovering that painting was how I made sense of the world.

After graduating, I took an unexpected detour, opening a restaurant with my father in Nantucket. The experience taught me patience and gratitude, but it also made clear how deeply I missed the studio. Returning to painting felt like coming home.

Today, my work lives between realism and expression, often centered on food—familiar, everyday subjects that are easily overlooked. Through color, light, and texture, I aim to slow the viewer down and reveal their quiet beauty.

I’m now a full-time artist working between New York and Stockholm, still chasing the same joy I found with a box of crayons as a child. Life is short, and following what makes us feel most alive is always worth it.
